Safe Electrical Group successfully delivered a full fire alarm system upgrade at The Point, serving Flats 1–9, enhancing life safety systems in line with current standards. The project involved the installation of a modern addressable fire detection and alarm system, designed and implemented in accordance with BS 5839. A Cygnus SmartNet system was installed throughout the building, incorporating smoke detection, manual call points, sounders, and visual alarm devices to provide comprehensive coverage.
The system was configured with full cause-and-effect programming, including integration with access-controlled doors to ensure safe emergency egress. A dedicated mains supply with battery backup was also installed, providing resilience and continued operation in the event of power failure.
All works were completed, tested, and commissioned to the highest standards, with full certification and end-user training provided upon handover.
